Surveillance Assignment Objective: Is Plaintiff working and what are life activities?
Plaintiff had been involved in a MVA with surgery to the knee as well as leg, back, neck and shoulder injury. Within hours of the assignment, Extant was able to find the Plaintiff working as a maintenance subcontractor at XXX location. The Plaintiff's scanned hand written journal was shared by the Carrier and stated his inability to function and enjoy regular life activities such as; build his cabin, walk without a limp, kneel, limited range of motion, unable to travel in cars, ride a bike, and claimed to have stiffness with constant pain. Plaintiff's most serious claim was inability to work around the house, transplant trees, bushes and work in flower gardens. Plaintiff Counsel was demanding $500,000. Extant staff obtained precise factual video to refute Plaintiff's own personal injury journal. The Plaintiff was capture kneeling and forcefully using an ice pick garden tool to dig several holes in the earth to plant trees. He was captured swiftly running in the yard to get shovels and yard tools to finish his landscaping project. On the same day the Plaintiff made a visit to his attorney's office feigning an impressive limp after this unbelievable landscaping performance! Case resolved for nominal fees.
